Climb the hill, enjoy the views

I want you to discover one of my favorite places in Sthlm... It is called Katarina Hiss, if you translate it: Katarina's Elevator also known as Gondolen.It is located in Slussen, a place that connects the old town Gamla Stan with the trendy and modern Södermalm. To get to Gondolen you need to climb a fairly steep hill, but it is absolutely worth it. On your way up you can enjoy the enchanted streets of Södermalm, a path for adventurers and curious.

And why is it that special, you might ask. Well, from there you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city which will probably charm you. It is one of these special places where you feel good, I don't know if you have experienced this feeling... But it wouldn't be so special if there wasn't this strong wind. It is really windy up there! and it has its reason, Slussen means dyke, water gate, it connects the Baltic sea (in the east) with the west part of Stockholm with more calm streams which use to freeze in winter! So Slussen is the place where there is a great flow of water and wind. Fabulous.
